BPC’s retrofit including the pre-treatment automation, ACT sequential mode of operation, and closed-loop automatic sampling and control system has been delivered for the effluent treatment plant of Spectrum Dyes and Chemicals Pvt Ltd. Pure BI software from BPC will be used for operating the ETP. BPC’s retrofit will be installed by converting the existing tanks into ACT and ASP processes with negligible interruptions to the ongoing operations.
The COD value of inlet effluent at Spectrum Dyes and Chemicals was fluctuating, which made it a challenging stream to be treated. With BPC’s ACT and sequential bioreactor, the COD level is expected to meet the desired outlet parameters while generating constant values at the outlet. Site and lab study has been conducted successfully, and installation and commissioning are under process.
