Ankleshwar Waste Management Association (AWMA)
BPC has successfully acquired the ETP contract at Ankleshwar Waste Management Association (AWMA) for their 10 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP).
We are able to successfully treat the constantly fluctuating inlet effluent at NEPL, Naroda plant. It is BPC’s already proven solution for the problem being faced by CETP of AWMA, where they have a similar effluent to be treated. Therefore, the CETP at AWMA has been provided with the solution identical to the CETP at NEPL, Ahmedabad where BPC retrofit has been in successful operation since 2019.
The two-stage biological treatment with sequential mode of operation, and closed loop automation for chemical dosing was proposed to AWMA, Ankleshwar after thorough study and review of their site and effluents. The Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) of the inlet stream at AWMA was very high while its Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) was not too high. This led to a high COD:BOD ratio at the inlet stream, which was quite challenging to be treated.
However, due to BPC’s ACT technology which can absorb high fluctuation and shock loads efficiently, the plant is expected to maintain constant parameters at the outlet. After successfully installation of ACT sequential mode of operation, AWMA should be able to achieve the outlet concentration as per MINAS.
